Body Cleanse

It's a brand new year. Slates are wiped clean, outlooks are bright, and it's time to detox. Yep. After all that celebrating, I'd bet I'm not the only one who can use a little mineral soak for my poor pickled liver. But at A New Spirit Wellness Center and Spa in Northwest Denver, I can take it one step further than mineral water. The Body Cleanse treatment (I'm signed up for this Thursday) is a 30-minute detoxification treatment that uses charged ions, a mild electric current, and a salt water foot bath to cleanse the body. How? I have no idea, but I'm willing to give it a try. Supposedly, the water will change color -- it starts out clear and clean -- based on what organ the system is cleansing. Kinda gross, sure, but strangely intriguing as well. Best part: it's only $22, so if it turns out to be nothing more than a 30-minute foot bath, I don't think I'll mind.
