Campbell Takes Lobbying Job With DC Law Firm

Retired Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell is going to work for Holland and Knight, a huge international law firm. He will be a senior policy advisor and in their Indian Affairs law practice group in Washington. Colorado Politics says "Might be a good way to build up some cash should he decide to make the plunge in 2006." I thought the reason for his retirement was to spend more time at home with his family.
"After a great deal of soul searching and reflection, I have decided not to seek re-election," said Campbell, the only American Indian in the Senate. "I feel the time has come to pass that duty on to another and return to my ranch with my family that I love."
Right, that's what they all say. No wonder people don't trust politicians.
