Honoring Detective Young

Following a downtown ceremony at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, area law enforcement officials joined the procession to honor Denver Detective Donald Young, who was shot to death last weekend while providing security for a private party. I've posted some pictures I took today of the procession. Firemen of Denver Station No. 1 suspended an American flag above Colfax Ave. using two ladder trucks. Here are a few additional images—spanning Colfax, hanging high, and stopping traffic. The Denver Police Department has more information about the 19-year-old suspect, Raul Garcia-Gomez, in a special bulletin on its website.

Food for thought.

Great pictures, Jeff!
