Beauprez Joins the "Extradite Now" Bandwagon

Rep. Bob Beauprez is the latest of Colorado's elected officials to jump on the "extradite Gomez-Garcia now" bandwagon. First, there was Sen. Ken Salazar, urging the Attorney General of Mexico to make an exception for the alleged killer of Denver Detective Donnie Young and return him to Colorado to face the death penalty. Then, Sen. Wayne Allard met with the Mexican ambassador. Not to be outdone, Rep. Bob Beauprez has introduced a bill in Congress to withhold federal aid from Mexico unless they agree to return suspected cop killers. As Colorado Politics notes, Beauprez may come to regret this comment:
"I've vacationed in Mexico before. I know exactly what 'Mexican time' is," Beauprez said. "
