Table Talk for July 5

High-flying meals...Now when frequent fliers travel on Frontier Airlines their miles can pay for dinner—or golf, or hotel stays, or even a Mercedes. Frontier recently launched the More Store—a clearinghouse in which to spend your miles on luxury goods including $50 gift certificates to a dozen Denver restaurants. And we know they're great eats because we hand-selected them. Check Frontier's website for more information. www.frontiermorestore.com. Coffee talk...Later this month, Boulder welcomes a new addition to the Pearl Street coffee scene. Allison Espresso Pastry Boutique will serve organic and fair-trade coffee from Breckenridge's Conscious Coffee. Look for monthly seminars—complete with cuppings—so patrons can learn more about the coffee they're drinking. Owner Allison Koontz, a trained pastry chef who used to work for Blue Fine Pastry, will whip up the day's baked goods. "We'll follow seasonality so when we open we'll have muffins, scones, and tarts made with fresh peaches, blueberries, and strawberries from the farmers' markets. In fall, those flavors will give way to pumpkin spice, cinnamon apple, and banana walnut." Sounds like enough to give Starbucks a run for its money. 1521 Pearl St., 303-442-3065, www.allisonespresso.com. Happy anniversary...Mici, a casual Italian spot right off the 16th Street Mall, celebrates its first anniversary on July 19. But they're celebrating all month long with an anniversary deal: Order an extra-large pizza (or a two-topping create-your-own pizza) and a bottle of house wine and pay just $20. Partake in the special from 5 p.m. on. 1531 Stout St., 303-629-6424. You can never have too much wine... Introducing Mondo Vino's wine of the month club. Choose from one of two memberships and each month the Highland-neighborhood shop selects and delivers two bottles (or save $2 a month and pick up your wine).
  • Club Mondo: A bottle of red and a bottle of white from the staff's current favorites. (Three months for $75, six months for $150, and one year for $300)
  • Club Lux: A bottle of red and a bottle of white with "serious pedigree." This club is for the more adventurous, featuring wines with "intense depth, concentration, and elegance." (Three months for $120, six months for $240, and one year for $480).

Bonus: all members also receive 15 percent off all club wines and 10 percent off all other wines in the store. 3601 W. 32nd Ave., 303-458-3858.
