Alberto Gonzales Visits Supermax

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was in Denver yesterday for a visit with Department of Justice officials and later, to take a tour of the Bureau of Prisons "Supermax" facility in Florence. He had this to say about the Supeme Court Justice nominations process and his possible inclusion on a replacement list:
"It's a rare opportunity, and the No. 1 priority should be placing a person on the bench, irrespective of skin color or gender, who is going to discharge his or her responsibility in the manner the president believes is appropriate for a Supreme Court justice," he said.
