Republicans are blasting Hillary Clinton for remarks she made at a speech at the Aspen Ideas Festival this weekend in which she compared President Bush to Alfred E. Neuman for his "What, me worry?" attitude.
"I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington," Clinton said during the inaugural Aspen Ideas Festival, organized by the Aspen Institute, a nonpartisan think tank. The former first lady drew a laugh from the crowd when she described Bush's attitude toward tough issues with Neuman's catch phrase: "What, me worry?"Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill...if Republicans think this kind of attack is going to prevent Hillary from securing the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, they are sorely mistaken. It will only make her more attractive in the minds of voters, particularly those who do see at least the physical resemblence between Bush and Neuman. Come on, it was funny.
