I'm all about celebrating holidays, even if I have to borrow them from foreign countries. Did you know that today is Bastille Day? Neither did I, but it's a great excuse to hit Riverfront Park and the Millenium Bridge for the second event in the Riverfront Park Wine and Fashion Series. Tonight's event is inspired by Paris, with French wines provided for tastings by Little Raven Vineyards, hors d'oeuvres by 5 Degrees, and the latest in Euro fashion by Nieman Marcus. The bridge's stunning ship's mast sculpture is a great backdrop for the models on the catwalk, making this one of Denver's most visually interesting outdoor events. We really do have a beautiful city, and tonight's sunset fashion show should be the perfect place to appreciate it. Tickets are $25 for the open wine bar and entry, or $40 gets you a reserved seat along the catwalk (assuming they are still available.) I'll be there, ready to lift a glass to celebrate summertime fashion shows, Bastille Day, and anything else that comes to mind. Salut!
