It's official. You can now enjoy tamales and tequila on Mezcal's new patio. It's been in the works for months, and now the staff is ready to celebrate. Though the view of Colfax may not be particularly scenic, it will surely be an entertaining scene at tonight's grand opening party. The celebrations starts in time for happy hour, but I heard that the drink specials -- $3.50 margs and $1.50 Tecate beer -- will go all night. It's another great addition to the happening block at Colfax & Adams, where Goosetown Tavern, Atomic Cowboy, and the Star Cafe make for a great mini district. Anybody up for a lazy one-block pub crawl?
