Crossed Paths

RockyWatch has unearthed an encounter between two of our most-blogged-about personalities: word thief Thom Beal and Arabian-horse-judge-turned-failed FEMA-head Michael Brown. Back in March 2004, Beal and other Rocky Mountain News staffers interivewed Brown, though they never asked him about his complete lack of credentials in emergency management. Instead, we got this shining example of in-depth journalism:
Beal: Do you think we're safer than we were prior to Sept. 11, 2001? Brown: Yes. Beal: Safer than we were nine months ago or six months ago? Brown: Yes. Thom, there's no question in my mind we're safer.
Thanks, guys. You can't imagine how much better I feel.
