Adopt a Homeless Katrina Pet

130 pets left homeless by Hurricane Katrina arrived in Denver last night. They are headed to the Dumb Friends League, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley and other animal shelters, where attempts will be made to reconnect them with their owners. However, there will be many for adoption.

Dr. Kevin Dennison with the animal response team also said people thinking about adopting a pet are being asked to do it now. "I think that's how people can really help this situation by taking some of the pressure off the animal shelters," Dennison said.
