Artists in the 'Hood... Denver's own Tracy Felix exhibits a cartoon-like whimsy in her oil depictions of the Colorado mountains. Snag an original for yourself all this month at William Havu Gallery (1040 Cherokee St.). Also on exhibit: Margaret Haydon (metaphorical ceramic sculpture) and Michael Burrows (graphite Western landscapes), both from Denver. The exhibit opens this week during the First Fridays art walk. Call 303-893-2360 or visit www.williamhavugallery.com for more info. Feed Me...The holiday eating season is finally over—but that man-eating plant from everyone's favorite musical-comedy-horror still has an appetite this weekend. It's your last chance to catch DCPA's production of Little Shop of Horrors, playing through Sunday at the Buell Theatre. For tickets visit www.denvercenter.org. Git Along...Back to a world where good fellers wore white. This Saturday at 7 p.m., screen the 1950 John Ford classic Rio Grande. The third in Ford's classic Western cavalry trilogy, the movie (starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara) tells the story of an officer who must resolve his conflicts between military duty and family. Hosted by Colorado Public Radio film critic Howie Movshovitz at the Starz FilmCenter at the Tivoli. Free. For more info, visit starzfilmcenter.com.

Thank you Catherine for pointing out that I am a male artist. With my name, I have sometimes been confused for a woman. No problem, the art is what is important. And yes my wife is also an artist and is very accomplished in her own right. See our work for yourselves at www.felixfineart.com
