Hickenlooper Stays Put, Says No to Governor

Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper surprised many political observers this morning by announcing that he will not run for governor in 2006. What seemed like a foregone conclusion on Saturday bubbled over on Sunday. But this morning, Hickenlooper announced to his staff that he was staying where he is.
