Gotta love Denver Restaurant Week. Tonight I'm off to my third stop, Mizuna, to meet the girls and have a nice early dinner out for the oh-so-groovy price of $26.40. Then we're thinking we'll hit the galleries around town for First Fridays. I saw Laurie Maves' funky portrait work last week at Artopia, and tonight she's opening her current show, "Faces and Places" with photographer Abhijit Sur at the Gallery Space at 1247 Santa Fe. I'd also like to to hit the Sliding Door gallery at 35th & Walnut for my friend Michelle Barnes' show with her sister Tracey Barnes. Somewhere along the way, we're hoping to hit the new French Kiss Fridays at Monarck Lounge downtown; they're offering free French Kiss martinis to celebrate the launch of the new Parisian-themed night. Tomorrow? I'll be sleeping in.
