Markos in Denver, Day Two

If you're interested in progressive politics, the place to be tonight is Lodo's Tattered Cover where Markos Moulitsas Zúniga will be discussing his book Crashing the Gate and signing copies, followed by Drinking Liberally where he will be available for discussion.
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Tattered Cover Bookstore 1628 16th Street Denver, CO 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Double Daughters (Drinking Liberally) 1632 Market Street Denver, CO
My son and I took Markos to lunch yesterday at Avenue Grill where we caught up on the past year and heard about Markos' plans for the future. Shorter version: You ain't seen nothing yet. Yesterday morning, Progress Now hosted a webcast (you can listen here) with Markos, followed by a coffee and bagel chat with Markos and 15 or so local bloggers and political progressives. Among those in attendance (and I will miss some, I'm sure): Mike Ditto who is now working full time for Coloradans for Fairness and Equality, The Wash Park Prophet (Andrew Oh-Willeke), Colorado Lib's Matt Ingwalson, Heading Left's Aaron Silverstein, and Sandra Fish of New West . A communications person from Sen. Ken Salazar's staff, a representative from the state Democratic party and Jared Polis were also on hand and actively participating in the discussion. Progress Now's Bobby Clark did an outstanding job of putting yesterday's events together. If you missed it, you can still join in. Just stop by the Tattered Cover and Drinking Liberally tonight. Markos heads on to Los Angeles Thursday where he regroups with his co-author Jerome and continues the book tour. Big Ink attended the Boulder event last night and presents some of what Markos had to say. Markos has more on the Democratic party philosophy today. If Markos and Daily Kos are not household names to you, pick up a copy of Crashing the Gates and learn what all the buzz is about.
