Okay, ladies. Tonight is definitely not a good night to stay home and catch up on TiVo. Over at Monarck lounge, the weekly Meta Thursdays event features exotic visuals and dance music by DJ Cassidy. The party starts at 8 p.m. and they offer weekly drink specials from 9 to 10 p.m. (think free French Kiss martinis and the like.) Tonight they'll extend the special, offering complimentary Absolut Ruby Red vodka drinks from 9 until 11 p.m. Of course, the guys can sometimes feel a little left out when it comes to ladies' night -- aside from the guaranteed high female-to-male ratios when the girls go out, the offerings can seem a bit slim. Tonight I'd expect plenty of downtown's single men to be rolling over to Hush, where two mostly nude models will be completely body painted by local artists from Glitter Freckle around 10:30 p.m. While the men enjoy the eye candy, the women can enjoy the free drinks from 9 to 11 p.m. Sounds like a win-win to me. Then again, a group of friends is trying to convince me to check out some indie band playing tonight. The story is that they paint each other during the performance, making it an interactive art and music gig. Which sounds pretty darn interesting as well, minus the oh-so-enticing "free drinks" incentive at the other two options. Either way, it's a good night to be out on the town.
