I hate the people who are for the sale of alcohol and tobbacco but are either to stupid or to dam ignorant to dee this is not a matter of letting are children smoke or seeing a little less than half of the population living their life in a empty bottle. This is a matter of freedom and RIGHTS that people do not have. I want the right to instead of going to the liquor store and getting plastard after a hard days work when most likely people will get roudy and things will get messed up if not broken. I want to have the freedom to do something that IS LESS HARMFUL THAN ALCOHOL AND LESS ADDICTING BY FAR THAN TOBBACCO!! Why must such a natural growing weed in other countries be so illegal when the facts prove the argument. When Prohibition was going on WAS THAT FREEDOM PEOPLE FOUGHT FOR OR THE LIQUOR OR BOTH!!!! Think about both sides and understand their is no legitamite argument besides not letting the children get a hold of this so called "drug". Well proof shows it is actually easier to get pot in schools than alcohol and cigerettes COMBINED!!! Why if you really care for the children would you not have a very harmless (proven fact) plant to be controlled by the goverment so OUR CHILDREN have a less likely chance to be offered a illegal drug. Do not get me wrong i am not for the drugs which have a potential death rate and high addicitive percentage. Before you vote look at both sides and from all angels, who is Amendment 44 for and who is it really going to hurt? Also do research i suggest the movie "WEEDS" if you would like to find out why Marijuana was first outlawed. It had to do with illegal immigrants coming over the border selling all of the substance and bringing the money back to their home country. This made politicians and goverment officials angry! How else of a perfect scheme get rid of pot and get rid of the whole problem. Well the problem continued and is now worse than ever but the law continues to stand like the flag of the United States. Freedom means what... One can do what they like as long as no disruptive or illegal activity is present. 0 is the number of threatning or domestic abuse incidents as well as the number of deaths that have been reported because of soley the use of Marijuana. Also 0 is the number of cancer patients are in the hospitals because of solely Marijuana. COLORADO I URGE YOU TO NOT NECCESARILY VOTE FOR AMENDMENT 44 BUT TO DO THE RESEARCH AND FIND OUT WHAT REALLY WE ARE OUTLAWING IS IT A DRUG OR IS IT A REVOLUTION OF MANY IN HISTORY!!!

To pat thomas, if you think making pot legal to only adults would keep it out of kids hands you are rediculous, where do kids get beer? stealing from there parents or paying someone to buy it, which becomes almost impossible to stop, and there is not test to tell if you were high while driving, so how would the police know if you were driving while high?

These anti drug people just amaze me. Of course dui will still be punished. They always seem to think that if pot was legal it would be sold on the street and ther would be no regulation. I reality the government wuould regulate the sale and quality and of course it would be taxed. The common train of thought of these anti pot people is "WE HAVE TO KEEP IT OUT OF THE HANDS OF CHILDREN" Well I don't see kids going to the local store buying a 6 pack and a carton of smokes who believes this will happen with pot? Get real it will be like alcohal and tobbaco you will have to be of age to purchase. Since they love making laws make one one like contributing to the delinquency of minors if you buy for a kid. Oh yeah they have that don't they.

NG: To my knowledge, SAFER has never advocated adults driving while high and such behavior will remain illegal if Amendment 44 passes.
