Puppy Love

Ready to find your perfect partner? Sick of spending too many weekends all alone? If you're looking for committment and unconditional love, hit the Cupids & Canines adopt-a-thon this Friday night from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Walnut Foundry (30th & Walnut). Whether your type is more outgoing and athletic, or if you'd prefer a cuddly homebody, adoptable doggies will be on hand from several area shelters, and they are all hoping to make a love connection. The event also includes a silent auction with dog-centric items up for bids, such as hand painted doggie portraits, doggie day care and grooming services, and people-pleasers such as restaurant and boutique gift certificates. The $14 tickets include one cocktail and free appetizers; proceeds benefit the Maxfund, a local no-kill animal shelter.
