Flix on the Fax

Movie buffs, foodies, and Colfax bar-hoppers can all celebrate the opening of Neighborhood Flix this Friday. Neighborhood Flix, a new theater, cafe, and lounge, is due to open for business this weekend. Look for indie, foreign, and classic films on multiple screens, plus gourmet munchies, and cocktails -- all in the same location in the former Lowenstein Theater next to Twist and Shout and Tattered Cover. Next to the three screening rooms, the Flix Cafe offers a restaurant and lounge:
In addition to traditional movie snacks like candy, nachos and popcorn our menu features appetizers, salads, gourmet finger foods, personal pizzas, hamburgers, and other exquisite and carefully prepared dishes. Our bar serves mixed drinks, beer, wine, juice, soda and gourmet coffees and teas. The Flix Café has a seating capacity for 80 guests and in the style of a sports bar displays independent, classic and documentary films as ambiance on projection screens throughout the Café.
This weekend's selections include Deep Water, In the Valley of Elah, and Pete Seeger: The Power of Song. Check out the movie times and film descriptions here.
