5280 Nominated for National Magazine Award

For the third time in four years, 5280 has been nominated for a National Magazine Award, our industry's version of the Pulitzer Prize. Mike Kessler's "Out In the Cold," which tells the story of the government's betrayal of workers at the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant, is a finalist in the prestigious Public Interest category. The category's other finalists are Bloomberg Markets, BusinessWeek, The Nation, and The New Yorker. Congratulations to Mike and everyone else on our editorial team who worked for more than a year to bring this important story to light. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some champagne to open.

That's an impressive list of finalists. Congrats -- and good luck.
