Local PR Firm Announces Local Initiative

This April 1 posting unveils what may be the very best use for yourhub.com that I've ever heard.
GBSM today announced that it will reduce its focus on large, reputable, corporate clients and instead target Denver-area, consumer public relations by creating a new division called "GBSM | YourHub.com." The new division will identify enhanced strategies to place articles in the YourHub franchise. "We got the idea when we read about Edelman consolidating its digital practices and enhancing its focus on ‘authentic' communications," said GBSM principal Steven "Steve" Silvers. "We immediately convened our principals and held a staff retreat to ponder the question, ‘What is next in public relations?' Then it hit us! YourHub is the pinnacle of what the public relations experience should be. Not quite journalism, not quite user-generated content, not quite reputable, but fully billable!"
Pure genius.

Care to offer some proof? We write about plenty of restaurants, some advertise, most don't. And we've certainly lost advertisers who weren't happy with their reviews.

Pretty funny. The only thing that might be funnier than this is the publisher of 5280 posting this blog entry. 5280 is the ultimate PR/advertiser shill and disguises it behind glossy paper. At least YourHub doesn't pretend and acknowledges where it's stuff comes from. I know a lot of restaurants who would never think of using YourHub.com, mainly because there PR machine of choice is 5280 and they don't have to admit the info is coming directly from them. Thank God for Denver Magazine.
