New: Marco's Coal-Fired Pizzeria
Last week saw the opening of Marco's Coal-Fired Pizzeria in Denver's Ballpark neighborhood. The sleek new pizza spot combines the best of Neapolitan tradition and New York flavor. The result is thin-crusted pizzas like the Campania (buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil) and the hearty Bronx with meatballs, ricotta, Pecorino Romano, and San Marzano tomatoes. At the back of Mark and Kristy Dym's restaurant, two handmade Neapolitan pizza ovens fire crusts and bubble cheese at 1,000 degrees. Also coming out of those ovens are the lemony and totally addictive coal-fired chicken wings--don't miss them. 2129 Larimer St., 303-296-7000

Just tried Marco's and was very impressed! The chicken wings were excellent - with a hint of lemon - and the pizza was tasty as well. Inquired whether it's the same Marco's from 8th and Colorado (loved that place!), but found out from the server that it's not. Check it out for great atmosphere and tasty food.

Stumbled upon this new pizzeria a few days ago and had a wonderful experience. I had the opportunity to sample 4 different pies and they were all very tasty! Owner Mark Dym was very welcoming and gave our group a complete tour of the restaurant.
Service is super fast - the extremely hot ovens mean that the pizzas are ready in less than 2 minutes.
Also, don't miss out on the patio! It has a firepit for cooler evenings.

Gracious owners and knowledgeable, friendly wait-staff prove an uncommon pizza experience. Perfect crust and fresh Mozzarella in Campania recipe pizza. The brick oven taste of old style pizza is present in every delicious bite. Menu presents the best values in Denver too. Tasty and a clear devotion to artisanal pies!

Would this happen to be the same Marco who had the place at 8th & Colorado (where Cava Greens is now)?
