Weekender: Crested Butte Land Trust Wine & Food Festival

For those of us who missed the Aspen Food & Wine Classic, the mountains offer another (and more affordable) chance to enjoy top-notch noshing this weekend. The first-ever Crested Butte Land Trust Wine & Food Festival brings together Denver and Crested Butte chefs (think Andrea Frizzi, Il Posto; Elise Wiggins, Panzano; Tyler Wiard, Elway's; Tim Egelhoff, Timberline), and a handful of master sommeliers. Classes cover Bordeaux and bourbon, and each evening, the chefs whip up a multicourse meal. Proceeds from this event benefit the Crested Butte Land Trust, an organization dedicated to conserving mountain habitats, but the best part of the festival is that events are sold individually. Friday-Sunday, times vary, $80. Crested Butte, 303-809-0404
