BCBG Max Azria

The Gist: BCBG's version of spring focuses on sexy, softly draped dresses. High hemlines and deep plunging necklines aside, the collection works because of the light layers and modern fabrics, like silk and jersey. Featuring: A variety of dress styles, ranging from the still-popular one-shoulder to the shirt-dress, in a pale palette of grays, whites, and nudes popped with bright orange, pink, and blue. Grounding the collection are a couple of boyish tanks, layered under the more revealing dresses, and sporty anorak jackets. The "It" Factor for Denver: The satin jumpsuit and jersey romper may be for the more daring gal, but it's the draped jersey dresses, which can easily move from the office into cocktail hour, that stand out. Look for It Next Spring At: Garbarini, 3003 East Third Avenue, 303-333-8686; and The Garment District, 2595 South Colorado Boulevard, 303-757-3371 Photos courtesy of Mercedez Benz Fashion Week 2008.
