Monique L'huillier

The Gist: L'huillier is part of NYC's uptown designer set and has built her reputation on creating the most feminine of evening gowns. Her spring show delivers a collection full of the romantic and sophisticated clothing for which she is known. Featuring: For spring, L'huillier works in a color palette of soft neutrals punctuated by yellow, red, and turquoise. A floral print that gradates from white to golden yellow, and is cut in a strapless dress as well as a sexy full-length halter gown, is particularly beautiful. Other standouts in the collection are balloon-sleeve blouses, a one-shoulder strapless dress with a beaded underlay along the bust line, and, of course, evening gowns that range from a wispy vision swathed in tulle to draped goddess gowns. The "It" Factor For Denver:

Although L'huillier has been expanding her daytime offering--a denim pencil skirt is perfectly cut--her evening gowns are always in demand.
