Neighborhood Flix to Close on Sunday

Things were looking up for Neighborhood Flix last week. Although the local movie theater had struggled against national competitors like Landmark Theatres and Regal Entertainment Group to gain its share of the market, it was sitting pretty with the rewards of one of its most profitable movies, "Transsiberian," and plans for upcoming cash-cow fundraisers. But this week, due to the business' financial stresses and the havoc they were wrecking on the health of Flix owner Michelle Smith, the theater's team has decided to forgo its fundraising and officially close at the end of this week. The Denver Zoo's Wildlife Film Festival on Saturday will be the theater's last throwdown before locking its doors on Sunday. This means just four more days of sticky sweet potato fries and independent movies with stadium seating.

That is sad. I always enjoyed watching movies there than at the bigger theaters. Bummer.

That's so sad... Neighborhood Flix was so wonderful. :(
