Event: The Great American Beer Festival, Plus Food

Saturday night, when the ambers and stouts of the Great American Beer Festival are flowing freely, forgo the sudsy beverage's standard peanuts, pretzels, and chicken wings for more upscale dining. Draft magazine has arranged a series of beer dinners at local restaurants. Downtown, at Braun's Bar and Grill, try the Flying Dog Brewery pairings or make a reservation at Rioja for the Sam Adams dinner. In Boulder, the Kitchen pours beers from Left Hand Brewing Company and Terrapin Beer Company. On Saturday: Braun's Bar and Grill, 1055 Auraria Pkwy., 6 p.m., $50; Rioja, 1433 Larimer St., 5 p.m., $80; The Kitchen, 1039 Pearl St., Boulder, 6:30 p.m., $80.
