Best Holiday Bet: Denver Phoenix Club's Bash and Silent Auction
Rockin' parties for charity (think DJs, drinks, and salsa dancing) are what the Denver Phoenix Club, a fundraising organization for the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver, does best. And Friday night, when the group throws its annual holiday bash and silent auction, should be no different. Rock cover band More Cowbell takes the stage, and an expected 300 people will sidle up to the bar of downtown's Thëorie restaurant for wine tastings, raffle tickets, and the chance to meet many of Denver's young professionals. 7 p.m.-midnight. Thëorie Restaurant and Lounge, 1920 Market St. $30, official website
