Shannon Sharpe in Hall of Fame Mix

Shannon Sharpe in Hall of Fame Mix Former Denver Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe is among a handful of first-timers named as finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, according to, among other outlets, Bloomberg. The Hall of Fame's Class of 2009, which could include up to seven of the 17 finalists, will be announced in Tampa, Florida, on January 31, a day before the Super Bowl. Sharpe, 40, held the National Football League's record for receiving yards by a tight end until Tony Gonzalez took the record this season.
