Hot Nuggets Make Mark Cuban Lose His Cool (Which Is Not Hard to Do)

Chris Andersen scored a season-high 15 points, including an outstanding 47-foot shot at the end of the third quarter, as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Dallas Mavericks last night 99-97, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Chauncey Billups was fouled with 2.2 seconds left and sunk two free throws to hand the Nuggets the game at the Pepsi Center. Dallas owner Mark Cuban stormed onto the court, yelling, as is his style. Nuggets coach George Karl complained about Cuban after the game, saying that at halftime he improperly shouted at the Nuggets' J.R. Smith. Meanwhile, the National Basketball Association Development League granted a protest by Utah, which lost to Denver last month, ordering the teams to replay the final 25.2 seconds of the game, when the score was tied at 102, according to The Associated Press (via The Washington Post), which notes the ruling is the first of its kind in eight years.
