Stars in Carmelo's Eyes

If Carmelo Anthony is selected as an All-Star starter today, "it could be considered somewhat of an upset," writes the Rocky Mountain News. After all, he's missed 12 games because of injuries and a suspension, provoking Amare Stoudemire, a Phoenix forward contending for the job, to launch an Internet campaign. But Melo leads in votes, and fan balloting has ended. He is averaging 21.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, but remains on the bench with a broken hand. The All-Star game is next month.
