Best Culinary Bet: Bon Appetit Culinary & Wine Focus

Apres ski becomes even more appealing this weekend when Bon Appetit brings its annual food-and-wine gathering to Beaver Creek. The magazine's editors and consultants, including editor-in-chief Barbara Fairchild, join chefs from local restaurants like Spago and Grouse Mountain Grill for Iron Chef-like cooking competitions, culinary classes, and gourmet dinners. South American cuisine gets a special nod this year with the festival's Argentine wine seminar and Brazilian cocktail class. Wed-Sat, Jan. 28-31, times vary Beaver Creek Resort, 888-920-2787, $35-$430
