Best Weekend Bet: Love. A Joint Venture
The child of a true artistic marriage (Ballet Nouveau Colorado joins with Lighthouse Writers Workshop), Love. A Joint Venture blends words and movement in a performance piece that's part modern ballet and part poetry reading. Both Lighthouse founder Michael Henry and Denver poet laureate Chris Ransick contributed writings, and BNC artistic director Garrett Ammon and Mark Godden, an internationally renowned Canadian choreographer, set them to leaps, twists, and fast-paced violin music. Fri-Sat 8 p.m., Sun 2 p.m. Pinnacle Events Center, 1001 W. 84th Ave., Federal Heights 303-999-1709, $26
