iPods Threaten Teens' Hearing

A small but substantial number of teens are putting themselves at risk for hearing loss by keeping the volume on their iPods too loud. Boulder's Daily Camera reports on a University of Colorado study that finds the average person can safely keep their headphones blaring for 4.6 hours per day at 70 percent volume, 90 minutes at 80 percent volume, or just 5 minutes at 100 percent volume.
