Fashion Week: Jill Stuart's "It" Factor for Denver

February 20 2009, 1:24 PM

JILL STUART FW09 New York 02-16-09Stuart picks up on the season's prevalent 1980s and tough chic trends. Items that should be in demand come fall--like her poet blouses, cropped tuxedo jackets, and a black one-shoulder party dress that closed the show--can easily mix with the current wardrobes of many Denver women.

The Gist: Channeling Madonna circa the mid-1980s, Stevie Nicks in the '70s, and even Bianca Jagger (when she was still married to Mick), this collection is for rock chicks everywhere.

Featuring sheer peek-a-boo looks, ruffles, lace, and fringe, Stuart tempers her signature girly frocks with tenacious elements like leather leggings and biker jackets.

Look for It At: Chelsea, 935 Pearl St., Boulder, 303-447-3760
