Always a reliable design duo for evening wear, Badgley Mischka will also tempt women this season with their sophisticated day wear.
The Gist: Showcasing a more tempered collection for fall, Badgley Mischka opened their show with a series of daytime looks, all in black. The dresses and skirts are chic and elegant with gentle draping, while a basket-weave coat and jacket stand out for their texture.
But ultimately, these boys are all about evening glamour, and they deliver it with some terrific cocktail numbers and gowns. One-shoulders, bustiers, and deep V-necks all made a runway appearance in georgette, sequin, satin, and tulle. A liquid gold lame gown and a red swagged, one-shoulder, satin cocktail dress are particularly striking.
