If you haven’t been to Luca D’Italia in the last month, you’re in for a surprise. Two weeks ago, chef-owner Frank Bonanno and crew renovated the restaurant, and the effect is grand. Luca has always been polished and refined, but now, with an airy vestibule marked by an olive-tree rendering, a newly placed hostess stand, and walls swathed in cream, the high-end spot feels decidedly elegant.
