Melo Not a Fan of His Own Suspension

Though Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony was recently suspended for one game for refusing to leave the court earlier this week, it doesn't seem he learned a lesson. That's because, he says, there was no lesson to be learned. "Nobody really knew what happened. I didn't think it was going to get as big as it got," Anthony said in his first comments about the matter (via The Denver Post). In other words, Anthony thinks the suspension comes down to a misunderstanding during the game about whether Coach George Karl wanted him to keep playing. Anthony returns to the lineup tonight for a key game against Portland. As for the controversy, Karl is over it. "We need him," he says of Anthony.
