Good Stuff: Eat More Gateaux's Tea Cookies and Save the World

I've often found myself indulging in the holidays, a change of season, or even my birthday with crisp, shortbread tea cookies from Speer Boulevard's Gateaux bakery. The colorfully painted stockings or pastel flower pastries are the perfect balance of butter and sugar for a celebration--you'll probably want another before you've even finished the first. This year, I recommend giving into that craving, because starting this month, Gateaux is giving 10 percent of its tea-cookie sales to local nonprofits like Project Angel Heart and Concerts for Kids. It's a small way to help those in need throughout the rest of 2009. 1160 Speer Blvd., 303-376-0070
