Come Monday, Jax Fish House Denver pushes oyster eating over the top. During the restaurant’s annual oyster week (this is the 11th year), eat 11 oysters for $11, and wash them down with $4 pours of golden Great Divide Hades Belgian-style ale or Mumm’s sparkling wine ($8).

Eleven cents of every oyster goes to the Gathering Place. And until the following Sunday, when the week culminates in a rowdy oyster-eating contest (the winner scores a trip to Vegas), Jax will also be serving a three-course oyster prix-fixe menu, with oysters on the half shell, fried, or in shooters.
