Ted Haggard to Appear on Divorce Court TV Show

His former overseers in Colorado Springs could never have envisioned Ted Haggard's restoration would unfold as it has. Following his appearances in a documentary and on Oprah, the bad-boy ex-New Life Church pastor who was mired in a male prostitution and drugs scandal is apparently an example of marital health, writes The Celebrity Cafe, noting Haggard and his wife, Gayle, will appear on television's "Divorce Court." Though the show airs on April Fool's Day (April 1), the broadcast is no joke. Television judge Lynn Toler will interview the couple about how they've managed to stay married throughout the controversy, which led the couple to flee their Colorado Springs home after Haggard resigned from his church and as the president of the National Association of Evangelicals, reports 7News. "This is part of Ted's journey," Gayle Haggard has said. "It's made him a better man. I see what has happened as a divine rescue." The couple will be paid an undisclosed amount to appear on the show.
