The Tea Scene: Seven Cups

Tea, given its health and wellness qualities, is one of the fastest growing sectors of the beverage industry, and the latest addition to the local tea market is Seven Cups, a traditional Chinese tea house on South Pearl Street. The nine-month-old shop serves up--and sells in bulk--organic and fair-trade Chinese teas, like the wok-fired green tea Da Fo Long Jing and Black Tuocha, a compressed puer tea that is known for its detoxifying qualities. While the teas themselves are certainly worth the trip to Seven Cups, consider giving yourself extra time to sip a brew in the dining room. Amid the shop's authentic Chinese wooden tables and carvings, Denver feels miles away. 1882 S. Pearl St., 303-777-2877
