Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput Wants to See President Barack Obama's "Pro-Abortion" Stance Go Kaput

Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput is preaching against the nation's "pro-abortion" president, Barack Obama, wondering why Catholics have not risen against him after realizing the "meaning of November," according to The Colorado Independent. He made the remarks over the weekend at the "Lessons from St. Paul for the New Evangelization" conference being held in Detroit. Back in Pueblo (and actually all across the United States) unwed pregnancy rates are rising. Pueblo "scored first place again in the kind of statistical race the region really doesn't want to win," the Chieftain writes. Almost 58 percent of the new mothers there between 20 and 24 are single, compared to 39.5 percent for Colorado (a number that's also growing). Of course, statistics like those beg for debate about contraception. How about these condoms with a picture of Pope Benedict XVI? (Via Britain'sTelegraph.)

I spent 12 years in Catholic school when I was young. The Catholic Church was out of touch then and it is even more out of touch now. Good riddance!
