Best Art Bet: Painted Violin at First Friday

violinLooking for a way kick off your gallery hopping at this month's First Friday art walk? Stop by 910Arts, where violins replace canvases for an eclectic take on oil painting. The annual Painted Violin show asks some of Denver's best visual artists (Lucien Hut, Sandra Kaplan) to rework the string instrument into a miniature painting.

Friday's show is also a reception, so grab a glass of wine, mingle, and purchase raffle tickets in support of your favorite violin. The instruments will be on display until April 15, when they move to NOW ArtSpace on Tennyson Street.

Fri, Apr. 3, 6 p.m. Eventgallery 910Arts, 910 Santa Fe Drive, 303-815-1779
