Best Outdoors Bet: New Belgium Scavenger Hunt on the Slopes

If tomorrow finds you debating spring cleaning versus skiing, pick the latter. Sure, the snow's not quite as soft as in January and the ski boots less comfortable every time you slip into them, but Loveland's New Belgium scavenger hunt is more about good beer and crazy costumes than moguls and parallel turns. The full-day event sends skiers--usually decked in outrageous duds--around the mountain, answering riddles about the brewery and the event's nonprofit partner, Alliance for Sustainable Colorado. An awards and beer party follow the race. Sat, Apr. 4, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Loveland Ski Area; Exit 216, Interstate 70, Georgetown 303-569-3203; $10; official website
