Colorado Senator Peter Groff Headed to Washington as Obama's Director of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives Center

The White House Media Affairs Office has issued a press release confirming the buzzing rumors that Colorado Senate President Peter Groff has been tapped to head the Obama administration's Faith-Based and Community Initiatives Center. Groff's post is overseen by the Department of Education, whose secretary, Arne Duncan, happened to be palling around Denver's schools earlier this week with U.S. Senator Michael Bennet. Coincidence--or a final sizing up of Groff? As for Duncan, headlines from his local visit suggest that he "bored" students here, but he got a significant boost of coolness a couple nights ago when he appeared alongside soaring songstress Neko Case.
