Denver Green Festival Kicks Off Today
By April 30, 2009 3:38 PM
Sure, you've read all about how to live green: Use CFLs. Turn off the water when brushing your teeth. But following through is another thing entirely. The inaugural Denver Green Festival bridges the gap between green ideas and the people putting them into action.
Over the course of the weekend, listen to sustainable business guru Hunter Lovins discuss the virtues of protecting the climate, check out BikeDenver's urban bike runway show, or stop by "Thinkin' Green, Livin' Bling," where the Flobots' Jonny 5 (Jamie Laurie) explains urban green living.
Don't forget to hit up the exhibitors hall to learn about organic wines, sustainable handbags, and eco-friendly travel options.
Sat 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
