The Latest CU Ban Doesn't Have Anything to Do With Guns

The National Collegiate Athletic Association has penalized the University of Colorado men's basketball team in a crackdown of 104 collegiate athletic teams that fail to maintain minimum academic standards. The team has a four-year Academic Progress Rate of 900 out of a possible 1,000, according to the Longmont Times-Call. A minimum score of 925 is needed to avoid penalties. The low score means CU has lost one scholarship.
