The Broncos' quarterback drama this off-season had a few people (okay, very few) around town calling for the return of Jake Plummer. The former Arizona State star retired from pro football in March 2007 after being replaced by some guy named Jay Cutler. Plummer left town, quit football, and landed in Idaho, but his passion to compete didn't diminish. This week, he's playing in the Canadian 4-Wall Handball Championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba, according to the Winnipeg Sun (via the Mile High Report). Plummer says he doesn't miss pro football and loves the camaraderie he gets with his handball buddies in Idaho. Another former Bronco, wide receiver Rod Smith, is still reeling in the accolades from his time on the gridiron. Earlier this week, Smith, an instrumental player in the team's Super Bowl championships in 1998 and 1999, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame (via INDenverTimes). Smith started out in pro football after being an undrafted free agent in 1994.
