Although Ashley Force Hood commanded the crowd in the
Funny Car race Sunday at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Ron Capps owned the track (via
Motorsport). Capps finished in 4.187 seconds to Force Hood's 4.231 seconds in the Mopar Mile-High National Hot Rod Association Nationals.
It was Force Hood's fourth final round in the last five races, according to
The Denver Post, and she had begun the weekend atop the Funny Car table. Now she is tied with Capps at 965 points.
In other race results, Antron Brown won his third Top Fuel this year, Allen Johnson won in Pro Stock, and Eddie Krawiec claimed victory in Pro Stock Motorcycles.
